Roles and permissions

Roles let you decide exactly what each member of your workspace can do, from full administrative access down to read-only viewing.

Where to manage roles

Go to Settings -> Roles.

How it works

Each member is assigned a role, and each role grants a set of permissions, such as:

  • Editing account settings
  • Managing team members
  • Managing webhooks and API keys
  • Managing roles
  • Editing branding
  • Managing billing
  • Reading the audit log

A member only sees the buttons and actions their role allows. If a teammate cannot find a setting, check that their role includes the matching permission.

The account owner

The account owner has full control and can always manage roles and members. Some sensitive actions, such as transferring ownership or deleting the account, are reserved for the owner and cannot be delegated.
